On-Demand Packaging

‍FP 230 uses the Afinia L901 Plus printer's print engine to produce brilliant colors on rolls with a maximum width of 230 mm at a maximum speed of 18 m/min. Variable data and spot colors are managed by
Optional RIPs.

Water-based inks have been approved for food packaging when combined with in-line cold foil, resulting in a roll of the desired width thanks to the two knives.

Reduce waste, time and inventory

The FP-230 allows the production of “just in time” reels, which eliminates the need to keep stock of pre-printed reels. Compared to traditional production methods such as Flexo and Roto, it significantly reduces plastic waste by using only 3 m of film for job configuration. Greater environmental sustainability is also made possible by Sihl's ARTYSIO PP films, which are independently certified as “made for recycling”.
